On October 22, 2025, I gave birth to my first child, Theodore. Due to a tragic placental cord complication, he passed shortly after delivery. I never had the chance to bring my baby home, a loss that forever changed my life.
In the months that followed, I sought understanding and hope by connecting with infant and child loss communities. I read hundreds of stories from families who shared similar heartbreaks, searching for reassurance that healing—and hope—could still exist. Through this journey, I learned that community is one of the most powerful forces in surviving unimaginable grief.
In December 2025, my sister introduced me to March of Dimes. My family and I immediately felt called to take action by forming a team and raising funds. As a mother who did not get the outcome every parent deserves, I joined this movement to honor Theodore by working toward a future where more families are spared this pain—especially those most vulnerable.
With preterm birth and maternal mortality rates continuing to rise, the mission of March of Dimes is more critical than ever. I am committed to raising funds to support research, advocacy, and care that help ensure every mother and baby has the healthiest possible start.
I humbly ask for your support. By donating to my fundraising page, you are helping turn loss into purpose and grief into meaningful change. Together, we can help create a more equitable future—one where every mom and every baby has the chance to come home healthy.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
