Why I walk

We delivered twins at 24 weeks gestation on August 1st 2006. Kaitlyn was born at 1lb 6oz and Madison at 1lb 3oz. Our sweet little Madison fought really hard but only survived until the next day. We miss her very much and she will always be a part of our lives. Kaitlyn fought for four months in the NICU before she was able to come home. We are very happy that she is a healthy and strong 13 year old! Our full-term son Preston is 8! We are so thankful to March of Dimes for research that helps preemie moms like me have safe and healthy subsequent deliveries. The March of Dimes is committed to finding ways to prevent premature births, birth defects, and infant mortality. My goal is to raise as much money as I can to help prevent this from happening to parents in the future. If you would like to help this cause, please make a donation today. I'm walking in appreciation of Kaitlyn's survival, Preston's healthy birth and in memory of my angel, Madison, and your donations will be marked in her memory. Thanks for your support!

When it comes to giving families the best possible start, we all have the power to help.

March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.

March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.

Thank you for your support!
