After nearly 20 years working in health care, I joined March of Dimes in June 2021, bringing together my professional experience and my passion for improving outcomes for moms and babies. The mission is also deeply personal to me. While I had two healthy pregnancies, my daughter Elisa faced unexpected challenges at birth, including a Down syndrome diagnosis and a congenital heart defect. She spent nine days in the NICU before coming home.
That experience solidified my commitment to this work. I joined March of Dimes to help drive real, measurable change for families, especially those most at risk. I’m proud to work for an organization that not only fights for healthy moms and babies, but also demands health equity for all families. Every dollar raised supports evidence-based programs and advocacy that strengthen communities and improve outcomes nationwide.
With preterm birth and maternal mortality rates continuing to rise in the U.S., this work has never been more urgent. I’m committed to raising funds so every family gets the strongest possible start but I can’t do it alone.
Please consider making a donation through my March for Babies page. Together, we can help ensure that every mom and every baby has the chance to be healthy.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
