This is my 43rd  year. I started this walk when I was in 7th grade, and I have done it every year except one. That was when I was getting my Master's degree. My brother was 4 1/2 weeks early, and has been very healthy!! I had a loss in my 1st pregnancy. I was 11 weeks along, when I got a phone call that genetic testing came out positive. I found out that my baby girl had Turner's Syndrome. I had a miscarriage, the next day. This is heartbreaking, but I am glad to be walking for the March of Dimes. In 2017, we are blessed to a have baby that we adopted in September. When you join March of Dimes March for Babies, you bond together with millions of others in the fight to defeat premature birth. Today in the U.S., 1,305 babies will be born prematurely. Some of them won't survive, and others will have health problems that could last a lifetime. In almost half the cases, the causes of premature birth are unknown. The March of Dimes is taking the lead to find answers. You can help.
