On November 11, 2021, our lives changed forever. Our son, Joey, was stillborn at 34 weeks. What should have been a time of excitement and joy became one of the most heartbreaking experiences we’ve ever faced.
Losing Joey left a space in our family that can never be filled. Not a day goes by that we don’t think about him and the life we imagined watching him grow.
We are also the proud parents of our son Jake, who is 7, and Beau, who is 3. They bring so much love and light into our lives, and they remind us every day how precious and fragile life truly is. Joey is just as much a part of our family—we carry him with us in everything we do.
We are walking in support of March of Dimes to honor Joey’s memory and to help other families who have experienced loss or complications during pregnancy. No family should have to go through this kind of pain, and we hope that through awareness, research, and support, more babies can have a healthy start.
