My name is Danielle I am the Front Desk Opperations Manager at French and Towers Salon Co. in Homewood, AL. I personally wanted to join this fundraiser in honor of my late son, Lorenzo. Lorenzo was born on 6/17/2016 at 23weeks and 2days, weighing in at 1.4lbs. He was so perfect in every way, except his lungs. Lorenzo had a very long road ahead of him and he fought his hardest! He was on a breathing machine, had open heart surgery (at 4 weeks old), and blood transfusions multiple times a week. Lorenzo was getting better by the day, but his lungs showed no improvement. Lorenzo was ultimately diagnosed with Chronic Lung Disease and on 9/11/2016 Lorenzo lost the battle. My family and I were devastated. Ever since then, my main goal has been to get involved with anyone and anything that could help these parents and their babies during the most difficult time of their lives. The most difficult time in our lives was seeing our beautiful son go through this fight. We are so thankful that foundations like this exist to help aid the families in need. Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick. I’m walking in March for Babies because I want to do something about this. And I need your help. Please support my walk. Making a secure donation is easy: just click the 'donate now' button on this page. Thank you for helping me give all babies a healthy start!
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
