So two and half years ago. I was impatiently awaiting the arrival of my son with a late August due date. July 25th my water broke. I wasn't in labor. We rushed to the hospital and I was given medication to protect his lungs and to prevent infection. My mom luckily arrived two days before. Griffin was born slightly premature a month early at 5lbs and 2.2 ounces. We were so lucky that he hasn't had any major issues. And he is the reason i march.
I participate to help all moms and families experience the joy of a healthy baby. With nearly 4 million babies born each year, we have a lot of work to do to help them all. The funds I raise enable March of Dimes to support research, lead programs and provide education and advocacy that truly makes a difference to families in our community and across the country. If you believe, like I do, that every baby deserves the best possible start, please march with me or make a donation to support this community effort. Together we can fight for the health of all moms and babies.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
