One in 10 babies is born too soon. In our family, that number is 4 out of 6.
I was nearly six months pregnant when I suffered unexplained preterm labor, and my twins- daughter & son, Ava and Cole- were born too early to survive. We were devastated.
My middle nephew was also born 3 months early, and spent months in the NICU clinging to life. But thanks in part to the lifesaving advances made through the March of Dimes' research, he is now a healthy, thriving teenager.
My most recent pregnancy was nearly cut short when I again experienced preterm labor at 32 weeks, but doctors were able to stop it after 4 days.
Please support my walk for the March of Dimes, in hopes that their work will help ensure no other mom ever has to suffer the terrible pain of a baby born too soon. March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
