Here we are in year number SEVEN marching for babies!  My life was forever changed on May 7th 2017, born a fighter Becca has amazed me every step of the way. When she was first born we were warned that she would likely have significant physical and developmental delays, and each year she grows and learns and shatters those expectations we had for her life.  

In the last year Becca has used her love of reading to fuel some really wonderful writing and story telling.  Most recently she has been working on a non-fiction series about different kinds of animals.  She continues to love skiing and swimming and this year started taking dance classes which has been really fun.  She loves adventure and exploring new places and spaces.

The reason that I come to the work of the March of Dimes is because of my experience with Becca's premature birth, but it is important to recognize that the work of this organization also helped me to have a healthy and full term pregnancy with Ben.  He made our family complete and I truly can't imagine our lives without him.  Ben is absolutely thriving as one of the “big kids” in his preschool class this year.  While he is still very observant he has become so much more outgoing and social at school coming home and telling us all about his friends.  This year was also a year of amazing growth for his ski skills and he is going up and down the small chair lifts like a pro!

Each year we come together in love and support of all the families affected by prematurity, infant loss, and infertility.  We raise awareness and money for the cause in honor of Rebecca Grace.  We give thanks for this incredible family we have.
