My connection to March for Babies runs deep. As the son of a NICU nurse, I remember visiting my mother’s workplace and seeing the tiniest fighters—newborns battling for their first breaths—in the biggest incubators I had ever seen. I also witnessed families leaning on hope and support during their most challenging moments. This early exposure shaped my understanding of service and fueled my passion for this cause.
That passion led me to take action through my fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha, a national partner of the March of Dimes. Our local chapter has had a strong presence at the March for Babies Walk in Middle Tennessee for over 15 years, participating as volunteers, fundraisers, and advocates for healthy moms and babies.
I had the honor of leading this effort as the walk chair last year, and although I’ve passed the torch, I continue to serve on the executive board to raise awareness and funds to help even more families.
As the March for Babies co-chair for the Association for Tennessee Alphas, I take pride in our organization’s role. Our commitment to strengthening communities is why we continue to support this mission—to ensure that every baby has a fighting chance.
This work is incredibly meaningful to me, and I would love for you to be part of it. Your donation, no matter the amount, helps provide lifesaving research, advocacy, and support for families in need. Please consider giving today to help us make a real difference.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
