This will be my 8th year walking and participating in March of Dimes. I found out about the event 8 years ago, but wish I'd known about it before now. March of Dimes is a foundation that assists with the research of premature births. My daughter was born premature weighing less than 2 pounds. She was so tiny that my wedding ring fit around her arm. As you can imagine, this was not how we anticipated having our first child together. Laila will be 12 years old in June and looking at her today you probably would never believe it. Through God's grace and mercy she made it out of her storm and is doing just fine. I'm raising money and walking this year to support a worthy cause. Who knows, if money hadn't been raised before Laila was born we might not have had the technology to get her in good health.
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
