Why I march

As many of you know I have been working in the Newborn ICU for 19 years now. I was also a premature baby when I was born - 32 weeks! I have participated and raised money for March of Dimes Since I was 15 and have done so every year since. This walk is dear to my heart, as I work with many families and babies that can use your help for further education and research to save them. Please donate even a small amount goes a long way. When you join March of Dimes WalkAmerica, you bond together with millions of others in the fight to defeat premature birth. Today in the U.S., 1,305 babies will be born prematurely. Some of them won't survive, and others will have health problems that could last a lifetime. In almost half the cases, the causes of premature birth are unknown. The March of Dimes is taking the lead to find answers. I have personally experienced miscarriage, as many of my friends have over the years.  You can help. The funds you raise in WalkAmerica support research that saves babies' lives.

When it comes to giving families the best possible start, we all have the power to help.

March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.

March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.

Thank you for your support!
