In 2019, Bo James was born at 27 weeks despite an otherwise healthy pregnancy. He spent 13 weeks at the Prentice NICU, where he had a (mostly) uneventful stay. Aside form a PFO, he was pretty strong and healthy! We were so excited to find out our next pregnancy was twins! Although we knew it was a high risk pregnancy, we had no clue HOW early and high risk our baby girls would be when they arrived. Born at 24 weeks and with a 50-60% chance to survive, our girls, Tess and Finley, endured multiple surgeries, months of NICU time, infections, and countless pokes and prods. But, with the fabulous care of their NICU Team at Edward Hospital (and Lurie's Childrens for part of Tess's stay), both girls are thriving today!
I joined the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk.
With preterm birth and maternal death rates continuing to rise, I’m committed to raising funds so that every family gets the best possible start. But I need your help.
Please visit my fundraising page to make a donation. Together we’ll be part of a movement to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy. The Fluture 5 are walking for all babies, but especially our own miracles: Bo, Tess and Finley.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
