These family pictures are miracles. I had two healthy pregnancies and babies. I survived an emergency c-section and a planned c-section. I also survived a life threatening infection after the birth of my first son. I knew about warning signs of postpartum morbidities, how to advocate for myself and had a supportive husband and extended family surrounding me at the hospital. I had all of these factors going for me, yet I became to sick to advocate for myself and spent the week after my first child's birth in the hospital. What if my family weren't there? What if they felt helpless when nobody was listening to their concerns and didn't keep pressing? Would I be here? Would Landon only know me from pictures?
This is why I walk. So that all pregnant and birthing people are heard and seen.
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
