I am the proud mother of two NICU graduates. My twins were born at 33 weeks and 4 days, but our need for critical intervention started at my 23 week appointment. After my ultrasound, I was admitted to L&D and ordered on bedrest. I remained on bedrest for over 10 weeks- The majority of which was inpatient in the antepartum unit of St. Mary's Hospital. Today Ellis and Reade are healthy and wild 8 (almost 9) year old boys. This is all thanks to the amazing intervention and care I received during my pregnancy.
While there have been so many advancements in prenatal and neonatal care, we still have a long way to go. 1 in 10 babies in the US are born premature- and even higher to mothers of color.
I joined the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk.
Please visit my fundraising page to make a donation. Together we’ll be part of a movement to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
