I joined the March of Dimes in 2022 to make a positive change for moms and babies everywhere.
Research is one of the pillars of the March of Dimes approach to the issue of maternal and infant morbidity and mortality, preterm birth, and access to quality maternal care.
It's one of the areas I'm intently focused on, and why I wake up everyday and go to work with researchers who are focused on the same outcomes - making the world a better place for ALL moms and babies everywhere.
I think about what we do through the lens of local, national, and worldwide impact.
At the local level, our NICU family support program provides relief, education, and comfort to those who need it when and where they need it most.
At a national level, our advocacy team works with legislators on the hill and in states around the country to be the voice for change in politics and policies impacting families.
At the worldwide level, our research program supports and works with the best of the best from around the globe to find new ways to help folks, through discoveries behind the mechanisms of preterm birth, preeclampsia, infection, and inflammation; to new treatments to alleviate and reduce complications of these conditions; and on to new ways to predict and prevent adverse pregnancy outcomes.
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
