Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick. I'm walking in March for Babies because I want to do something about this. And I need your help. Our family was faced with a premature baby not once, but twice. Our Graham Man was born 3 months early weighing just 2lbs 7oz. Our NICU journey was long and fraught with emotional highs and lows. Thanks to our NICU team coupled with the support and research from the March of Dimes, Graham is now a healthy 11-year-old who is not only right on track with his peers, but ahead in many areas. He's smart, funny, charasmatic, active, and the light of our life. He loves art, singing, dancing, animals, geography, maps, basketball, and his sister (most of the time). Our daughter, Greta, was born 4 weeks premature after almost 2 months of complete bedrest. Although she skipped the NICU, our life was still impacted. None of this would have been possible without the medical advances and knowledge brought to our NICU and beyond with the help from March of Dimes. March of Dimes also offers services to educate NICU professionals on the emotional toll a NICU stay takes on parents and how to better interact with families to help the overall experience. This organization is fighting not just for premature babies and their families, but ALL moms and ALL babies to be happy, healthy, and have the best start to life.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
