As a mother of a 29 weeker and a NICU nurse of 10 years, I am walking for the March for Babies.
On January 8 of 2023, I went into unexplained preterm labor and delivered our son, Henry, at 29 weeks and 3 days. Henry made his entrance via an emergency c-section and was cared for in the NICU for nearly 8 weeks before we were able to take him home.
Henry is now 2, very active, social, and talking up a storm. We were so fortunate to live where we live, have the knowledge we have, and to be cared for by the best team we could have asked for.
We are walking for Henry, but also for every mother, baby, and family who may find themselves in similar shoes to ours. We wish for every mother and baby to have the excellent care that Henry and I received. Please help us give every family the best possible start.
Please visit my fundraising page to make a donation. Together we’ll be part of a movement to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
