Recently I got my dream job delivering babies. Unfortunately, not all of these babies are born full term. Right now, we have about 50 babies in the NICU and that doesn't include the 450,000 other preterm babies here in the United States. I have personally delivered 1-3 lb babies and those beautiful little fighters melt my heart. My cousin's son, Jackson, was one of those cuties who was born 5 weeks too early.
On April 12, I’m walking in March for Babies to get the message out about this terrible problem and you can help. March of Dimes funds research to determine what causes preterm labor and provides resources for the moms who deliver their precious babies too early. Please join me in the walk or make a secure donation to help me reach my goal. Together we can help the March of Dimes fight prematurity so more babies can get the strongest start possible.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
