I participate in honor of my nephews Truman and Elliott who would not be here today without the March of Dimes and its support of the NICU that saved their lives. Born at 23 weeks and 28 weeks gestation, these two precious boys and their loving family faced enormous struggles at birth and the months afterward. They are wonderful relatively healthy children today thanks to many miracles along the way. Truman will be going to college in the fall, but it has been a long road. He still struggles with the affects of prematurity every single day.
I participate to help all moms and families experience the joy of a healthy baby. With nearly 4 million babies born each year, we have a lot of work to do to help them all. The funds I raise enable March of Dimes to support research, lead programs and provide education and advocacy that truly makes a difference to families in our community and across the country.
