The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
African American mothers are three times as likely to have premature babies than any other ethnic group. It is important that we continue to raise funds for March of Dimes to assist parents who endure such hardships as premature labor.
The March of Dimes is proud to partner with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. as a long-standing National March for Babies Team! We have had a partnership for more than 40 years which began with the Project Alpha program in Chicago, IL. Alpha Phi Alpha and March of Dimes have been enthusiastic partners through Alpha Phi Alpha Program. March for Babies gives Alpha Phi Alpha and its members an opportunity to show their communities they care about healthy babies and their families.
Alpha men are involved in community services for all families, lobbying on Capitol Hill for better access to healthcare, funding research to prevent serious problems that threaten our babies, educating young men and women on how to be healthy through Project Alpha, and providing funding to offer support for families who need it most.
We will continue to support the efforts of MOD, but we cannot do it without YOU!! Please support our walk. Making a secure donation is easy: just click the 'donate now' button on this page. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping us give all babies a healthy start!
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
