I was born early - but healthy. My sister was born early and spent many months in the hospital. I am raising money because not every family has the positive outcome that we did - and so that no family has to go through that again! I am raising money to fight for healthy moms and babies everywhere. But I need your help.
Did you know that the work of March of Dimes saved my sister's life? She was given "surfactant" in the early hours after birth which helped her lungs even though she wasn't able to breathe on her own. Surfactant was developed by funding for March of Dimes.
Did you know that every baby born benefits from research from March of Dimes through the Apgar Score given to all babies to assess their health at birth?
Did you know that Houston recently received a score of "F" for the health of moms and babies? 1 in 8 babies are born premature!
Please help the fight for all moms and babies by donating what you are able - and marching with us on April 27 at the Texas Medical Center!
Love,
Emerson Kathleen
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
