Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick. I’m walking in March for Babies as part of team BWH Strollers with Hadley’s NICU nurses and other NICU families.
Hadley was born at 34 weeks due to preeclampsia. She spent 49 days in the BWH NICU and came home with an NG tube. She has seen multiple specialists and has overcome so much medically in her short little life so far. Seeing her in the NICU everyday and leaving the hospital without her was heart wrenching. It’s a feeling you can’t even describe and no one truly gets it unless they are in your shoes.
I knew there was a possibility of me delivering preterm and have known family and friends that have also gone through it. I just never thought it was actually going to happen to me until it did. If you can please help me make and difference by making a donation. No amount is too small.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
