My nephews were both born prematurely. The first at 32 weeks, and he thrived quickly thankfully, due to in large part to the research and knowledge that March of Dimes Support. The second at 29 weeks, he had a few complications, and I know that he lives and is full of vibrance and energy because of March of Dimes.
My sister had walked every year after my first nephews birth; after Emma died I knew that her light, laughter, and kindness would live on through her sons that are now amazing boys thanks to March of Dimes. I attended and donated when she walked. Now I will walk for the 8th time, for her, my nephews, and all those out there that will live thanks to the research this helps fund.
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
