Having a baby prematurely at just 23 weeks is an experience no family should have to endure. Unfortunately, our journey was made even more difficult by the inadequate, negligent prenatal care we received at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. The challenges we faced there put our baby’s life at risk, and it was only through the exceptional care of the NICU team at Brigham and Women's Hospital that Matthew survived.
We are walking to raise awareness about the urgent need for improved maternal and neonatal care. Every family deserves the best possible start, and no parent should have to experience what we went through.
I’ve joined this movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk. With preterm birth and maternal health challenges on the rise, I’m committed to raising funds to ensure that every family gets access to the care they need. But I can’t do it alone.
Please visit my fundraising page to make a donation. Together, we can build a future where every mom and baby receives compassionate, quality care. Thank you for being part of this important journey.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
