Greetings,
I am reaching out with a heart full of emotions—grief, hope, and determination. Many people do not know this, but my journey to motherhood has been anything but easy. I have faced the struggles of conception, the heartbreak of miscarriage, and the challenges of navigating a healthcare system that too often fails Black women like me.
My daughter, Solei, my rainbow baby, was born after a high-risk pregnancy filled with uncertainty and fear. Earlier this year, I experienced another painful loss—a miscarriage that I am still grieving. The emotional and physical toll of these experiences is something no woman should have to endure alone. Yet, so many of us do.
On May 3rd, I am walking in the March of Babies to raise awareness and funds for maternal and infant health. This cause is deeply personal to me. Too many women, especially Black women, face barriers to compassionate and quality prenatal care. Too many families suffer losses that could have been prevented with better research, advocacy, and support.
I am asking for your help. No donation is too small—every dollar makes a difference in the fight to improve maternal health, provide critical support to families, and prevent premature birth and pregnancy loss. Your generosity will not only honor my journey but also help countless other women who are struggling in silence.
This walk is part of my healing, my way of turning pain into purpose. If you feel moved to contribute, you can donate here: https://www.marchforbabies.org/Adybrown. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this message or walking alongside me in solidarity.
Thank you for reading, for supporting, and for standing with me and so many others.
With love and gratitude,
Adlin “Ady” Brown
