Please help us in our efforts to financially support parents who have given birth to preemies. We know firsthand how challenging the journey can be and would love for you to help in this endeavor. RJ was born at 29 weeks and weighed 1.8 lbs. Here is an update on RJ:
• He is 12 years old
• He's a 6th Grade at Albany Middle. It's been a pretty interesting transition but he is enjoying school and joined the following clubs: Black Alliance and Pokémon.
• New this year is his passion for the drums. He is in both the regular and Jazz Band programs at school and attends private lessons. Participating at various band concerts has allowed him to overcome his fear of performing in front of large audiences.
• RJ continues to participate in karate and earned his black gi and blue belt. Fun fact, he recently earned his 2nd strip.
• He continues to play soccer and was sad when the 49ers didn't make it to the Superbowl (his daddy was happy though)
• RJ's sense of humor is out of this world and he is absolutely a fun kid to be around.

With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
