We walk for our little fighter! Timmy is almost 8 years old and has come so far! He is growing so BIG & STRONG, it is hard to believe that our 2lb 13oz baby is now 70lbs. and almost 4ft tall.
We are glad to be walking again this year. This is a day we reflect on the rollercoaster of a ride it has been for all of us and all the obstacles and unexpected hurdles Timmy has overcome. He has made huge strides medically, as well as working hard in second grade, completing his 1st year on a travel hockey team with some amazing friends and families, and starting his 2nd year of baseball in just a few weeks.
This year, we want to walk with family and friends, new and old, to show our gratitude and raise more awareness about prematurity and infertility. We will be joining other NICU grads and their families. Right now, babies and mommas need all the help they can get. Premature birth affects about 380,000 babies here in the United States.
