Black mothers are more likely to have a baby born prematurely, Black women die at a rate of three to four times that of white women in this country and Black babies are still more likely twice as likely to die for the first birthday. The Black maternal mortality rates and the infant mortality rate seems to be the worst of any other group in the country.
