The U.S. is one of the most dangerous developed nations places to give birth. I was extremely lucky to have an experienced Healthcare team on my side when I was diagnosed with Pre-eclampsia during my pregnancy. Others are not as lucky. Many areas are considered maternity care deserts, including several counties in my state. I support March of dimes because every family deserves to have the care I received, regardless of race, income, or location.
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
