I choose to walk for the March for Babies because it holds a special significance in my heart, as I walk for my son CJ, who bravely entered this world at just 30 weeks gestation, weighing a mere 3 pounds and 7 ounces. His early arrival marked the beginning of a challenging journey, where he had to summon all his strength and resilience to overcome the obstacles that came his way. CJ's first few weeks of life were a testament to his unwavering spirit and determination, as he fought tirelessly against the odds.
He is truly a warrior in every sense of the word, inspiring everyone around him with his courage and perseverance. Despite the challenges he faced, CJ continues to thrive, reminding us of the remarkable resilience of premature babies. I am endlessly grateful for the dedicated doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals who have been by CJ's side every step of the way, providing him with the exceptional care and support he needs to flourish.
By participating in the March for Babies walk, I am not only honoring CJ's journey but also raising awareness and funds to support other families facing similar challenges. Every step I take is a step towards a brighter, healthier future for premature babies like CJ, and I am proud to be part of such a meaningful cause. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that every baby has the opportunity to thrive.
