I participate to help all moms and families experience the joy of a healthy baby. Having seen the process of pregnancy and post-partum firsthand, there are many issues that can arise from pregnancy, labor, or post delivery. I will walk to support a healthy pregnancy for all moms and babies. With nearly 4 million babies born each year, we have a lot of work to do to help them all.
The funds I raise enable March of Dimes to support research and prevention efforts to combat Zika virus. They lead programs that provide grants to states to increase screening for and treatment of postpartum depression. Additionally, they provide education to prevent preterm birth and advocate for awareness about the urgent health crisis moms and babies face, including increased rates of maternal mortality. Since 1997 March of dimes truly has made a difference to families in our community and across the country.
