All 3 of my kids were born premature. Antoine was born April 21, 2007 at 28 weeks weighing 3.3 lbs, spent 30 days in NICU. DaViaun was born Feb 18, 2012 at only 24 weeks. Weighing in at 1.5 lbs and 11" long. He stayed in hospital for 110 days. During his hospital stay he had 2 major surgeries, PDA ligation and ROP laser eye surgery. While in the hospital we met the best people ever. 1 of which was his primary nurse Bryan Homyak, the Family Support Specialist through the March of Dimes Therese Razzante , and a lot of great families who we plan on being friends with for a long time. He is now a happy, healthy 12 year old. Ayries, my last baby was born April 30, 2023 at 32 weeks weighibg 4lbs. He got kicked out on day 20 of his NICU stay. Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick. I'm walking in March for Babies because I want to do something about this. And I need your help.
