To give you my why - most of you know I worked in a Federally Qualified Health Center in Houston, TX - and 100% of our patients were on medicaid and do not have the same access to healthcare that most of us take for granted.  When we closed in July many patients lost critical access to good quality OB care. My clinics were built specifically to address these access issues and make healthcare easily accessible for patients with Medicaid coverage.  We partnered with the March of Dimes to provide our patients, physicians, midwives, nurses, medical assistants and pharmacists training and educational materials on the use of Low-dose Aspirin to prevent pre-eclampia and medically indicated preterm births.   We also were the recipient of one of the March of Dimes grants to help provide all of our patients that need them with a blood pressure cuff, access to educational videos about pre-eclampsia and handouts and posters on the risk factors and warning signs mom's need to watch out for.  Without us I don’t know what these patients will do but I know March of Dimes will continue to help however they can!   March of Dimes - helps keep moms and babies safer - every single week we used these resources to help real doctors and real patients and we really really do save lives.    Together with your help we can continue to fight for the health of all moms and babies!!!
