I joined the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk.

This organization is near and dear to our hearts and we are so excited to join the Edward Elmhurst NICU strollers group at the March of Dimes walk this year.  At 23 weeks pregnant with our second child, my water broke unexpectantly in the middle of the night.  I immediately was put on hospital bedrest with uncertainty of what it meant for the health of the baby or me.  Because of the swift actions of our healthcare providers at Edward Hospital, I was able to carry Luke through viability.  He was born at 26 weeks gestation at 1 lb 10 oz and spent 108 days in the Edward NICU.  He was a tiny fighter from day 1.  He overcame all obstacles that he was met with and is now an active, vibrant, healthy almost 3 year old little boy who completes our family.  We are forever indebted to the entire Edward NICU staff for the care and support they provided our family during Luke's NICU stay.  

The reality is that not everyone's story will look like this, and in supporting organizations like March of Dimes, it will help to give every mom and baby the start they deserve.

Donations to March for Babies help to fund: 

• The NICU family support programs and tools help more than 50,000 families each year, including families in your city.

• Essential supplies like NICU bags for families, breast pumps, blood pressure cuffs and more will be distributed.

• More hours of strategic research on how to end preterm birth and infant and maternal mortality will be funded.

• Closing the health equity gap to make America a more equitable place for every mom and baby.
