Why I walk

2 out of 3 of the Corona Clan were born prematurely.

Camila was born fifteen weeks early on August 17, 2017 weighing 2 pounds. She spent 104 days in the NICU at Edward hospital in Naperville. Her first year, she underwent surgery, a week stay in the PICU, multiple doctors appointments and therapy sessions.

Nicolas was born six weeks early in April 6,  2020 weighing 5 pounds. He spent 3 weeks in the NICU at Adventist Hospital in Hinsdale.

We walk to bring awareness to Prematurity. We walk to honor our healthy children who would not be here today without the amazing staff at Edward and Adventist. Please join us!

Right now, babies need all the help they can get. Premature birth affects about 380,000 babies here in the United States. I’m walking in March for Babies to get the message out about this terrible problem and you can help. Please make a secure donation to help me reach my goal. Together we can help the March of Dimes fight prematurity so more babies can get the strongest start possible.

WE NEED TO UNITE, CONNECT AND FIGHT FOR FAMILIES

With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.

At March for Babies you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.

Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
