March for Babies, March of Dimes is one of the most important fundraisers to get premature babies the help they deserve to have a fighting chance to live in this world. Every year the preterm birth and maternal death rates continuing to rise, I’m committed to raising funds so that every family gets the best possible start. But I need your help.
You may be asking yourself, what's the reason for her being apart of this fundraiser? Well here is some background information as to why I joined this movement to create a positive change for mothers and babies all over.
I was born 3 months early at 1 lb, 6 oz, and 13 inches long. I spent 126 days in the hospital. During those 126 days I went through 13 blood transfusions along with 3 surgeries. The percentage for me surviving was very slim. But, with the help of my nurses and doctors, I am now a 19 year-old-girl who loves to race snowboards and dirt bikes, and is a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 139!
So please, make a donation and help me give every baby and mama a fighting chance in this world.
