We participate to honor our sweet baby boy, Edward Carson Pascale.
Throughout my pregnancy, Eddie was SO active. There were times I swore he was going to kick right through my belly! The day came, my contractions were 5 minutes apart!! At 4:32am on May 19th my perfect baby boy entered the world.
There were some complications, which led to my son fighting for his life. Being transferred from hospital to hospital. Our final stop, the nurses worked together to settle Eddie in. Eventually we were brought into another room, where we’d receive the worst news you could ever imagine. Eddie was not going to survive.
My heart dropped to my stomach. I was frozen. Total shock. I couldn't cry, I couldn't even comprehend what they had just said to us. Every emotion possible, we were experiencing. I could hardly focus on anything after that.
All of our family came to celebrate Eddie. With the help of the hospital, we had a beautiful baptism for him. Everyone got to spend time with him. We all held him, whispering how much we loved him. I didn't want to let him go.
Today, we think of Eddie often; the milestones he should be making, what his personality would be like. How he'd interact with his brothers & sister. It stings, I'm sure those thoughts, always will. But we push through, learning to find new ways to honor our angel Eddie.
