Being a labor & delivery nurse, I witness firsthand the new beginnings of families. As one of the Swedie Babies' team members, Eva Peroulas, has said about our family birth center, "Inspiration comes from tears; tears of pain from mothers in labor, tears of joy from new parents and grandparents and tears and cries from [healthy] newborns saying hello to the new world." But inspiration may also spur from tears of sadness. I march to support moms throughout every stage of their pregnancy journey - because sometimes things do not go as "planned." Your gift will fund research and programs that will help us understand and prevent the serious problems that threaten our babies, like premature birth and birth defects. Your gift will also be used to bring comfort to families with a baby in newborn intensive care unit.
