I wanted to share why the March of Dimes is such a meaningful cause for me and why I’m asking for your support.
What I imagined being a new mom would be—spending maternity leave at home, caring for my newborn in her newly decorated nursery—disappeared quickly. Instead, my days were spent commuting to the hospital, caring for her in a NICU incubator tethered to wires and fed through a feeding tube. The NICU was chaotic, but it was also incredibly lonely and isolating.
As new parents, as much as we try to be prepared, it doesn’t prepare you for when your newborn arrives well ahead of schedule.
This experience isn’t unique to parents of premature babies, but it could be preventable.
That is why my family supports March of Dimes—to help create positive change and ensure a healthy start for all babies.
We have been fundraising for over a decade and through your generosity and support, hope to continue this family tradition.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
