As a mother of two premature boys and a NICU nurse of 10+ years, I am walking for the March for Babies.
In my first pregnancy, I went into unexplained preterm labor and delivered my son, Henry, at 29 weeks and 3 days. Henry made his entrance via an emergency c-section and was cared for in the NICU for nearly 8 weeks before we were able to take him home. Henry is now 3 and thriving!
My second pregnancy was complicated by a chronic abruption which resulted in a prolonged hospital stay for increased monitoring, and ultimately another emergency delivery at 33 weeks for my second son, Ronan. We were so fortunate to live where we live, have the knowledge we have, and to be cared for by the best team we could have asked for.
We are walking for Henry and Ronan, but also for every mother, baby, and family who may find themselves in similar shoes to ours. We wish for every mother and baby to have the excellent care that we have received. Please help us give every family the best possible start.
Please visit my fundraising page to make a donation. Together we’ll be part of a movement to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
