The March of Dimes fights for healthy moms and strong babies and I’m  walking because I’ve lived both the heartbreak and the miracle. Hadley was born on September 30th 2023. I held her, kissed her, and said goodbye all in one breath. There are no words for that kind of heartbreak, only silence, and an ache that follows you.  Less than a year later, I gave birth to Waydin on August 5th 2024. The days that followed were filled with machines, monitors, and prayers. In the middle of it all, the March of Dimes Family Center became my safe place. My own quiet sanctuary down the hall. I went there when the updates didn’t go our way, when I needed to cry, to breathe, to rest. It held me together when the rest of the world was falling apart. I am eternally grateful to the support the march of dimes showed both to myself and my family. I walk for both of my beautiful children. For every baby who didn’t get a chance. For every mother who carries love and grief in their hearts, For every family sitting in a NICU right now, holding onto hope. If you feel moved to give, to walk, or simply to share—thank you.
