As an African American woman, this cause is personal to me. Black moms and babies face some of the highest risks in our healthcare system. According to the March of Dimes Report Card, babies born to Black moms have a preterm birth rate of 14.7%—almost 50% higher than the national average. That’s not just a number; it’s our families and our communities.
I joined March of Dimes because every mom and baby deserves a healthy start, no matter their race, income, or zip code. Your donation helps fund research, support programs, and advocacy that fight for better, more equitable care—especially for moms and babies most at risk.
If you’d like to see the data, you can explore the “March of Dimes Report Card” and full U.S. report here:

I can’t do this alone. Please visit my fundraising page and give what you can. Together, we can help make sure more Black moms and babies—and all families—get the strong, healthy start they deserve.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
