In April 2024 we discovered we were pregnant with our second child. By June, we learned we’d be having a baby boy, completing our set of one girl, one boy, and our dog Cheddar. While our daughter, Lyanna, had hoped for a baby sister. Over time she became excited to have a baby brother. She even started to identify some toys she would give to him!
At 27 weeks, I checked into hospital where the doctors confirmed our worst fears. They could not find a heartbeat and told us we had lost our son. Logan Blue Gering was born silent into this world on September 20, 2024.
We walk to remember Logan. While he spent a too brief moment in our arms, he is forever in our hearts. We walk with the hope to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk.
With preterm birth and maternal death rates continuing to rise, we are committed to raising funds so that every family gets the best possible start, but we need your help.
