So much has changed since I raised money for March of Dimes in the years before COVID.
I work on the antepartum unit at Fairview Hospital. I see so many mothers delivering their child/ren before their intended due date because of pregnancy related complications. Babies are sometimes in the NICU for days/weeks/months. I can now relate a little more closely to my patients. I had pre-eclampsia (among other pregnancy related issues) that had me deliver my twin boys at 34.5 weeks gestation. We were lucky to only have them in the NICU for 5 days. We will forever be grateful for the NICU staff and the ability to have the isolettes, monitors, etc. that were needed to keep my babies healthy and thriving.
This year I walk not only for my twin boys, but to support other families of premature babies. Please go to my fundraiser page and considering dontating to the cause!
THANK YOU!
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
