I joined this movement to help create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk. This mission is deeply personal to me. A close friend experienced preterm labor, and her daughter spent 285 days in the hospital before finally coming home. While I’m incredibly grateful for their outcome, not every family is as fortunate. I know far too many women in my own life who have endured the unimaginable pain of losing a child.
Preterm birth and maternal mortality rates in the U.S. continue to rise, and the disparities are impossible to ignore. Black women are nearly three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women, and they also face significantly higher rates of preterm birth. These are not just statistics—they represent real families, real loss, and an urgent need for change.
That’s why I’m committed to raising funds to help ensure every family has the healthiest possible start. But I can’t do it alone.
Please consider making a donation. Together, we can be part of a movement to build a more equitable future, one where every mom and every baby has the chance to thrive.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
