Mike, Big Brother, Colton and I welcomed Charlie into our family on July 24, 2018. Charlie arrived 13 weeks early, at 27 weeks and spent 89 days in the NICU. We finally welcomed Charlie home on October 20, 2018 - two days before his due date! Charlie is seven years old and just amazing. Before I entered the hospital at 26 weeks pregnant, it never occurred to me that Charlie could be born early and it certainly never occurred to me that our baby might spent any time, never mind three months in the NICU. After having this experience, our lives will never be the same and we hope to work toward a world where other families do not experience what we did. Our family participates with the March of Dimes to ensure all moms and families experience the joy of a healthy baby.
