I participate in March for Babies to help all moms and families experience the joy of a healthy family. My family and I have experienced the impact of prematurity firsthand. I was born at 24 weeks gestation weighing 1lb 4oz, and was given a 5% chance of survival. I spent 99 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
With 1 in 10 babies being born too soon each year, we have a lot of work to do to help them all. The funds my team and I will raise can enable March of Dimes to support research, lead programs and provide education and advocacy that truly makes a difference to families in our community and across the country.
