Margaret Dahle

Hi everyone!  I am Margaret, and I am excited to be supporting the March of Dimes as we head into 2026 Chicago March for Babies.

My connection to the March of Dimes started long before I could walk one of the annual March for Babies events-literally.  I was born premature, and the medical advances, research and programs powered by this organization played a direct role in giving me a chance for a strong start. Even though I do not remember those early days, and the journey has not always been easy, I do feel the care and commitment over the years of being surrounded by the March of Dimes community wanting to help others:  attending more than 15 March for Babies walks, participating as a misson ambassador at some fundraising events, and joining the Signature Chefs dinners including once on stage as the mission family to share our very special story and our gratitude for the March of Dimes.

Now, as a college sophomore studying political science and anthropology with a passion for diplomacy and law (as well as knitting and languages), I appreciate that early support in a whole new way. I am appreciating how that early support I benefitted from, driving innovation, advoacay and strong support shape life changing outcomes for families-and I want to be part of that change.  Taking this step to further support the March of Dimes is a great privilge for me, and I want to help others.

Prematurity is still the #1 cause of death in newborns, and far too many families continue to face unexpected challenges. That's why I am walking-and why I am asking for your support. Every dollar helps fund research, advocacy, and programs that give babies the healthiest possible start to life.
