I am excited to celebrate our 20th year supporting March of Dimes! We continue to fundraise for this great organization to remember our special babies and work to provide a healthy start for moms and babies everywhere.

In 2025, we were blessed with another child. We are so lucky to have two healthy children and pregnancies. However, in postpartum I had one of my scariest moments of my life. I was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia a day after getting released to go home to my family. This put me back in the hospital for two days away from both Mabel and Ben. I was able to receive treatment and the necessary medications to be lucky enough to only be away from them those two days.

Preeclampsia is high blood pressure in pregnancy or postpartum, there is no known cause but there are factors that increase your chance of having it. Preeclampsia can cause health issues for the mother but also the baby, which can include preterm birth and death. Through our years of advocacy for the March of Dimes, I knew the warning signs and acted on them. I’m so lucky I did and can be there for my family; not all mothers get this outcome.

The March of Dimes works so hard to find the cause and treatments for all pregnancy related health concerns and support their mission to give babies and mothers the best and healthiest outcome.

 Team Noah and Lily started in 2006, both of my sisters were pregnant, our family was so excited! However that feeling quickly changed as both found out their babies had anencephaly. Anencephaly causes the brain and back of the head not to form. My sisters, brother in laws, and entire family were devasted. We had never heard of this disease before and when researching, my mom found the March of Dimes. We decided that we needed to honor Noah and Lily by helping other babies like them.
